Helene Schöwing is a PhD candidate at the University of Freiburg. Starting as a BA student in Theatre Studies at the Freie Universität Berlin, she finished her MA in English Literature and Literary Theory at the University of Freiburg in 2024. Her research focuses on the representation of history across different types of media. Specifically, the perception of the authentic and inauthentic within historical fiction are of interest to her.
